By creating an account on Nexus Prime and accessing any paid tier, you enter into a clear agreement with the platform. These terms exist to protect both you and the work — to ensure that every operative who joins does so in good faith, and that the architecture remains sustainable for everyone who depends on it.
These terms apply to all paid memberships: Operative ($9/month) and Vanguard ($25/month). The free Initiate tier carries no payment obligation but is still subject to the conduct and intellectual property provisions of this agreement.
Plain language matters here. These terms are written to be understood, not obscured.
Your subscription grants access to digital content — stories, audio transmissions, lore archives, and community spaces — for the duration of your active billing cycle. You are paying for ongoing access to a living platform, not purchasing individual pieces of content.
New content is added regularly across every active vault. The platform is designed to reward continued engagement — no single billing cycle will ever contain everything Nexus Prime has to offer.
| CLEARANCE TIER | MONTHLY COST | VAULT ACCESS | CANCELLATION |
|---|---|---|---|
| INITIATE | Free | Flash Stories + Main Story weekly drops | N/A — Free tier |
| OPERATIVE | $9 / month | All 9 story vaults | Cancel anytime |
| VANGUARD | $25 / month | All vaults + The Obsidian Vault | Cancel anytime |
To cancel, navigate to Subscription Control and select Cancel. No email required, no approval process. Your access continues until your paid period ends, then automatically downgrades to Initiate.
Your callsign is yours permanently. Even after cancellation, your identity in the Nexus Prime universe remains. The signal remembers you.
| SCENARIO | REFUND ELIGIBILITY | NOTES |
|---|---|---|
| Payment made, no paid content accessed, request within 48 hours | ✓ ELIGIBLE | Full refund issued, account downgrades to Initiate |
| Payment made, paid vault content accessed | ✗ NOT ELIGIBLE | Digital content has been consumed — standard policy across all digital platforms |
| Request after 48-hour window, regardless of access | ✗ NOT ELIGIBLE | Cancel anytime to stop future charges |
| Technical failure preventing access after confirmed payment | ◈ REVIEWED | Investigated case-by-case — full refund or extended access granted where verified |
| Duplicate charge / billing error | ✓ ELIGIBLE | Always refunded without question upon verification |
| Unauthorised charge (payment method compromised) | ✓ ELIGIBLE | Contact us immediately — handled with priority |
This policy mirrors standard practice across every major digital content platform — Netflix, Spotify, Kindle Unlimited, Patreon. Once digital content has been accessed, the transaction is complete. This is not about being restrictive — it is about the platform remaining sustainable so that new content keeps arriving for every operative who commits to it.
If you are unsure whether Nexus Prime is right for you, the free Initiate tier gives you genuine access to Flash Stories and weekly Paradox Protocol drops before you ever spend a credit.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle — monthly for Operative ($9) and Vanguard ($25) tiers — until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize Nexus Prime to charge your payment method on file on a recurring basis at the applicable rate.
You will receive a renewal confirmation to your account email prior to each charge. Your subscription renewal date is visible in your Subscription Control panel at all times.
To avoid being charged for the next cycle, cancel before your renewal date. Cancellation instructions are in Section 03 above. Charges that have already processed are subject to the Refund Protocol in Section 04.
Nexus Prime reserves the right to change subscription pricing with a minimum of 30 days advance notice delivered to your account email. Continued subscription after that notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated pricing.
A chargeback is a forced reversal of a charge initiated through your bank or card provider, bypassing the platform's refund process. Before initiating a chargeback, please contact Command first — most billing issues are resolved quickly and directly without the need for bank intervention.
If you initiate a chargeback for a charge that is not covered under the refund eligibility criteria in Section 04, Nexus Prime reserves the right to:
Chargebacks initiated for legitimate reasons — unauthorized charges, billing errors, duplicate charges — are always supported and will not result in account action. If your payment method was compromised, contact Command immediately so we can assist.
This policy exists to protect the platform from fraudulent abuse, not to prevent legitimate disputes. If you have a genuine concern about a charge, message Command first — we will always respond within 48 hours.
If you believe you are eligible for a refund based on the protocol above, submit a request via the Protocols & Directives page using the Billing / Payment Anomaly classification. Include:
1. Your operative callsign
2. The email address on your account
3. The date of the charge
4. A brief description of the situation
All refund requests are reviewed within 48 hours of receipt. You will receive a direct response to your account email. If your request is eligible, the refund is processed immediately — typically appearing within 5–10 business days depending on your payment provider.
All content on Nexus Prime is original intellectual property. Accessing content for personal reading is the entire point. Redistributing, reproducing, or sharing paid content outside the platform is not permitted and constitutes a violation of this agreement.
Accounts found in violation may have their clearance revoked without refund. This includes sharing login credentials, publishing story content publicly, or reproducing Obsidian Vault material externally.
Account sharing is not permitted. Each subscription is for a single operative. Sharing your login credentials — even informally — violates this agreement and may result in clearance revocation without refund.
If you post, submit, or share any content in Nexus Prime community spaces — including the Signal Network (Discord), comments, feedback forms, or any other platform feature that accepts user input — you grant Nexus Prime a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and moderate that content within the platform and associated community spaces for the purpose of operating the service.
You retain ownership of anything you create. This license only allows us to display your community contributions within the Nexus Prime ecosystem — nothing more.
You are solely responsible for any content you post. By contributing to community spaces, you confirm that your content does not violate any applicable law, infringe third-party rights, or constitute harassment, hate speech, or harmful content of any kind. Nexus Prime reserves the right to remove any user content and revoke community access without notice for violations.
Conduct within the Signal Network (Discord) is additionally governed by the Signal Network Code of Conduct. Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines also apply independently.
All content on Nexus Prime — including but not limited to all stories, characters, character names, dialogue, narrative arcs, worldbuilding, lore, district architecture, faction designs, audio transmissions, soundscapes, artwork, visual design, the Nexus Prime name, the Paradox Protocol series, all vault titles, and the complete fiction universe — is the original intellectual property of Henry Hernandez and is protected under United States and international copyright law.

In any circumstance where liability is found, the maximum liability shall not exceed the total amount you paid in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nexus Prime content is entirely fictional. All characters, organizations, events, and locations are products of imagination. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
Nexus Prime is intended for operatives aged 13 and older. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian awareness of their subscription.
Nexus Prime content contains themes of violence, dark fiction, complex moral scenarios, and mature narrative elements consistent with the cyberpunk-fantasy genre. It is not intended for young children.

These terms may be updated as the platform evolves. When material changes are made, active subscribers will be notified via account email at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Minor corrections and clarifications may be made without advance notice.
